Jenny Griffiths
is a former NHS manager with 11 years' experience as a Chief Executive
of Health Authorities. She has been working independently since 2001 and
undertakes a wide range of paid and unpaid work both within and outside the
NHS, as a Board Chair, trustee, project director, assessor, facilitator, mentor and volunteer. Her health interests and experience are wide-ranging
and include: public health (she is a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health
and South East Council Member for the UK Public Health Association),
sustainable development (she completed a part-time MSc in this field in 2004), primary care (she was General Manager of Oxfordshire Family Health
Services Authority), health care strategy and redesigning services to
improve outcomes within tight financial onstraints (she led a savings
programme of £14 million in West Surrey against a strong vision of service
improvement), strong governance and personal, team and organisational
development. Jenny was awarded the OBE in the 2006 New Year Honours list for services to young people as Chair of the surrey Connexions Partnership Board.
Sean Brennan
has a background in pathology, established a Medical Audit Unit in Huddersfield, then
became Clinical Audit Advisor to the DoH. He was Project Manager for the national
Electronic Patient Record Project in England and worked in the Scottish Executive on PACS
and EPR/EHR. In 2002 Sean launched Clinical Matrix Limited. Organising and facilitating
interactive workshops with groups, large and small, is an area of particular interest.
Peter Moran
retired from the Army in 1994. A successful venture as director of a limited company
was followed by a change of direction into the NHS as a Practice Manager in 1997. Leading
an IT initiative in Primary Care, the practice received the award of Investors in People,
the first surgery in the South of England to so so. Peter has since introduced the use of
teledermatology and telecardiology.
Sally Moran
is a nurse leader and senior manager with over 25 years experience. An innovative
practice developer, Sallys expertise is called upon to help individuals and teams
undertake problem solving through mentoring and group facilitation. Experience includes
project management, research and writing, and health systems evaluation. Specific
successes include implementing tele-healthcare and role and workforce redesign.
Dr. Tony Woolfson
has combined a clinical career as a consultant in endocrine and metabolic medicine
with extensive international experience in the state and commercial sectors in medical
education, strategic and operational consultancy, communications, research and writing.
Alan Fisher
is a Clinical Scientist and until recently was head of strategic business development at Alaris UK, part of Cardinal Health
Prior to this appointment he was head of Medical Engineering at North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Hospital Trust and was seconded to the Department of Health as an advisor on Modernisation and Technology. This lead to him implementing a number of different technical solutions to link clinicians more effectively and to enhance patient care. Earlier work included a role with the US Department of Defence as Technical Director of the Casualty Care Research Centre in Washington DC and technical Lead on their Telemedicine Training Team, responsible for the deployment of Telemedicine into operational and austere zones such as Bosnia, Macedonia, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia etc. Alan has maintained his links with the U.S. military community and the Dept of Health Strategic Health Authorities and regularly presents at national and international seminars.
Grant Hurley
has over 20 years experience in sales, Grant has spent the last seven years working with various areas of the NHS throughout the UK, developing and supplying innovative solutions to enable PCT’s and acute Trust’s to meet the increasing demands placed upon them by the modernisation agenda of the DOH. Grant’s key to success is ensuring that projects are thoroughly scoped and that expected outcomes and projected budgets are realistic and managed from start to completion. He believes it is important to ensure that results meet his clients’ expectations and that success is measured by projects that not only achieve the initial goals of the client but then ensure that the results can be maintained in the long term. |
